Open Lessons in RA National Assembly

On December 4, within the framework of the NA Open Lesson programme representatives of a number of educational institutions of marzes and capital of Armenia visited the parliament.

The deputy of the NA My Step Faction Heriknaz Tigranyan met with the students and lecturers of the Secondary Specialized Education College of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.

The deputy of the NA My Step Faction Armen Pambukhchyan met with the pupils and teachers of Yerevan A. Hovhannisyan N 194 Basic School.

The deputy of the NA My Step Faction Artur Manukyan met with the students and lecturers of Yerevan Romanos Melikian State Music College.

The deputies of the NA My Step Faction Andranik Kocharyan, Kristine Kocharyan, Sipan Pashinyan, Arpine Davoyan, Lusine Badalyan, Artur Davtyan and Armen Khachatryan met with the pupils of the Secondary School of Ptghni Village of the RA Kotayk Marz.

The meetings went on in Q & A format.

The participants voiced questions which related to the structure and the activity of the National Assembly, the educational sphere, the transport and traffic jam.

They have touched upon the provision of the working draft of the law on Higher Education and Science which proposes to consider non compulsory for the study in the non specialized faculties of the higher educational institutions the subjects Armenian Language, Armenian Literature and History of Armenia.

It has been noted that the recommendation has wrongly been understood. A clarification has been made that the higher educational institution will choose itself the necessity of studying those subjects.

Within the framework of the visit the guests took a tour to the building of the parliament, observed the work of the regular sitting of the National Assembly, got acquainted with the history of the parliament and were also in the Museum.
